Patients immediately feel at ease with Dr. Thomas “Mac” Darnall because even though he holds the dental degree, he offers his patients control over their treatment. His patients know they are his top priority and that they have control over their dental experience.
In addition to putting his patients first, Dr. Darnall has a calm demeanor and gentle chairside manner. He makes his patients feel so comfortable that many rave about and recommend Dr. Darnall to their friends.
But that’s not all that makes Dr. Darnall a great dentist. He’s also an overachiever when it comes to his dental education. After earning his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dr. Darnall entered the school’s exclusive Advanced Education General Dentistry residency. Only 7% of practicing dentists complete this kind of residency that focuses on challenging restorative cases.
Every year, Dr. Darnall eclipses the Continuing Education (CE) requirements, taking courses ranging from implementing new techniques with his staff to learning the latest crown preparation and implant methods. He does this all in an effort to ensure his patients receive the highest level of treatment and experience little to no pain from dentistry.
Dr. Darnall also takes an active role in professional dentistry and his community. He serves as past president of the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and is a member of three study clubs. In addition, Dr. Darnall volunteers with Donated Dental Services and Give Kids a Smile, providing dental care for children in the community. He also participates in Dentistry From The Heart and Missouri Mission of Mercy.
When not at the office, Dr. Darnall can be found riding his bike and spending time with his wife, his daughter, and the family pets, Pickles and June Bug.
Dr. Darnall enjoys treating patients of all ages. One of his primary goals for Suchman & Darnall Family Dentistry is to create a welcoming place for your family now and in the years to come. Ideally, Dr. Darnall would love to meet and treat generations of your family.

Dr. David Suchman treats his patients like family, and so he gives them much more than just a dental checkup. Combining technical skill, artistry, and compassion for every appointment, Dr. Suchman gives his patients confidence in their smiles.
With Dr. Suchman’s desire to provide patients with the smile of their dreams, and for patients to keep their teeth for a lifetime, comes a commitment to do everything it takes to make that a reality. That means even though Dr. Suchman is long past dental school, he continues to study. He has completed two separate and elite continuing education programs that only 7% of dentists ever achieve.
After completing the Advanced Education General Dentistry residency that focuses on complex restorative cases, Dr. Suchman jumped right into one of the most rigorous continuing education programs in his quest to become a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He completed 500 hours of education and passed a stringent exam to earn his Fellowship in 2007. He did all of that in his ongoing effort to improve his patients’ smiles, their confidence, and the lifetime function of their teeth.
Even with such a busy patient and continuing education schedule, Dr. Suchman still finds time to give back to the community. He donates his time and skills to the Dental Life Line Network, Missouri Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and conducts dental screenings for the Independence School District. And when he’s finished with that, Dr. Suchman still finds time to participate in three dental study clubs and serves as Programs Chair for the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and the Midwest Dental Conference. In 2013, Dr. Suchman served as President of the Greater Kansas City Dental Association.
When not at the office, you can find Dr. Suchman with his wife, Kelly, and son, Jacob, enjoying local sporting events, watching and coaching Jacob’s sporting activities, boating, or skiing down the slopes in Utah and Colorado.
